In an effort to create desirable living environments for the students living on campus, many colleges and universities across the nation are instituting gender-neutral dormitories for those students wishing to share living spaces with students of the opposite sex.
Yale, Princeton, Lehigh University and the University of Vermont were among the first schools to create progressive living environments originally designed  for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered students but more and more students simply wishing to room with someone with whom they are compatible, regardless of gender, are taking advantage of this opportunity.

That would have been great for me in college. I did it anyway though lol.
