Shani Davis: 1000m Gold Medalist

They Came, They Saw, They Conquered. The 2010 Winter Olympics are over but if you missed it lets go over the basics:

The USA won a total of 37 Olympic Medal

SHANI DAVIS Successfully defends his 1000m gold metal and becomes the first man to win back-to-back 1000m Olympic Speed Skating gold medals.  He also wins the silver in 1500m

Shaun White wins gold in mens Snowboard Half Pipe and unveils the Mctwist to the world

Lindsay Vonn overcomes her leg injury and wins gold in Women’s Downhill skiing

Curling happened and Canada won gold…I still don’t understand this sport but I love to watch it!

The USA owned Canada in Men’s Hockey and advanced to the quarterfinals…(update) Canada owned the USA and won the gold as the met again in the finals

Apolo Ohno, Olympic short-track speedskater became most-decorated Winter Olympian for the United States of America winning one silver and two bronze bring his total to eight Olympic medals

Lastly and sadly Luger, Nodar Kumaritashvili of Georgia, was killed after he lost control of his sled during a practice session just hours before the lighting of the Olympic torch.  He was only 21
